STOP PRESS: As of October 2008, I am now a fully qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner - having taken the plunge and decided to sit the professional examination, which I passed with flying colours. So if you know your Senior User from your Configuration Librarian, I'm the man for you.

The old saying goes “failing to plan is planning to fail” and the cornerstones of good project management are experience and communication. In the computing world this is a tricky process because it requires the collaboration of both commercially and technically oriented people to create a single coherent project team - a process which sometimes feels like "herding cats"!

Having owned several businesses and also developed solutions myself, I have a foot in both camps – understanding not only the different vocabularies and translating between them but also being appreciative of the pressures and constraints which all parties are operating under (whilst always remembering who is paying the bills).
